Software Engineer Java Annapolis Junction, MD


Job Description: Successful candidates will six or more years of increasing levels of responsibility in performing software engineering related activities. Additionally, successful candidates will have at least three years of experience developing web-based solutions using Java/J2EE. Finally, successful candidates will have experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum.

Required Skills:
Six years of software/system development work experience in the following areas: Develop web-based software solutions based on requirements documents and/or user stories/backlog
Test, debug and refine computer software to meet stated requirements traced to design
Prepare necessary documentation to meet both programming and user-level requirements
Three or more years delivering web-based solutions using Java technologies such as Swing, Struts, Spring, Ajax, JDBC, EJB, JavaScript, etc
An understanding, and preferably experience with, implementing solutions using web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, i.e., J2EE and XML enabled Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, etc
Participate as part of a development team or as an individual contributor
Ability to learn new technologies as required

Desired Skills:
Experienced with Linux to include the ability to use Shell Script
Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer)
Scrum Master Certification
Certification in Java Programming
Experience with web-based 3rd and 4th generation application frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails
Experience with Ozone
Web-based testing experience using automated tools such as JUnit

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Location: This full-time position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Multiple positions available.

Clearance:
Positions require a TOP SECRET security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of a polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
